Understand the current OREC continuing education requirement, complete your required hours, and keep the documentation you need for your 3-year renewal.

Oklahoma resident sales associates, broker associates, and brokers complete 30 hours of OREC-approved continuing education during each 3-year license cycle, then submit renewal through the OREC License Portal. Non-resident licensees complete 8 hours instead.
Renewal and CE deadline dates run on each licensee’s individual 3-year cycle rather than one shared statewide date. Licenses not renewed on time move to Lapsed status — CE completed within a year of expiration can still be used to renew, but don’t wait until your deadline to start.
All 14 self-paced classes covering every mandatory subject plus electives — the full 3-year renewal in one purchase.
The standard 30-hour requirement applies to Oklahoma resident sales associates and broker associates. Resident brokers substitute a 15-hour Broker-in-Charge course plus 6 hours of Contracts and Forms for part of their 30 hours. Non-resident licensees of any type complete 8 hours instead.
Provisional Sales Associates have a separate 45-hour post-license requirement before their initial license expires. Licensees should verify their own status and CE record through their OREC License Portal account.
Resident sales associates, broker associates, and brokers each complete 30 hours of OREC-approved continuing education every 3 years. Non-resident licensees complete 8 hours every 3 years.
Resident sales associates and broker associates need 13 mandatory hours: 6 hours Contracts and Forms, 3 hours Professional Conduct, 1 hour Broker Relationship Act, 1 hour Code and Rules, 1 hour Fair Housing, and 1 hour Hot Topic, plus 17 elective hours. Resident brokers complete a 15-hour Broker-in-Charge course and 6 hours of Contracts and Forms instead.
OREC’s published continuing education requirements do not describe a carryover allowance. Confirm current rules with OREC before assuming unused hours roll forward.
