Categories, FL approval numbers, and hours are sourced from each course’s own live product page on educationpathways.biz (not from the sitemap alone). Seven of these 27 titles also appear in the 20-Hour Interior Designer Bundle table above; for three of them (Holding to Our Heritage, Sustainability through Adaptive Reuse, and Underpinning Techniques and Their Application) the category and/or approval number shown here differs from the bundle table, since Education Pathways appears to hold separate DBPR approval listings for the same course content under the Architecture track versus the Interior Design bundle track. See SOURCE_NOTES.md for the full comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many continuing education hours do Florida interior designers need?

Registered Florida interior designers complete 20 continuing education hours each two-year cycle: 14 Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) hours, 2 specialized or advanced Florida Building Code hours, and 4 elective hours.

Can I purchase only the courses I need instead of the full bundle?

Yes. Light, Shade, and Shadow as Design Elements is available as an individual 5-hour HSW course for $159, and all 27 individual Florida Architecture classes listed above are also available individually. Only the 20-Hour Renewal Bundle itself is sold strictly as a package.

Which organizations can approve Florida interior design CE?

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design automatically accepts continuing education from AIA-CES, NCARB, IDCEC Core Member courses, the Construction Industry Licensing Board, and the Florida Building Officials and Inspectors Board, in addition to coursework from Board-approved providers such as Education Pathways.

Can unused continuing education hours carry over to the next renewal?

No. The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design does not allow continuing education hours to carry over between bienniums. All 20 hours must be completed within the current two-year cycle.

Is my continuing education reported to the Board?

Yes. Education Pathways reports your completed continuing education directly to the DBPR (Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design) on your behalf. We still recommend keeping your own certificates as a personal record.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. A certificate is available after successful completion of each course. Save your certificates and related records for at least four years.
